The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Class 12 Special Examination Date Sheet 2026 for eligible students in West Asia. The examinations will take place from October 23 to October 28, 2026, according to the published schedule.
These special examinations are intended for eligible students in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), whose regular Class 12 board examinations were cancelled earlier in 2026 because of the situation in the region.
Students should check the subject-wise timetable carefully, confirm their examination details on their admit cards, and follow the instructions issued by CBSE.
Important: This is a special examination for eligible candidates in West Asia. It is not the regular CBSE Class 12 board examination or the general supplementary examination for students across India.

Who Can Appear for the CBSE Special Examination 2026?
The special examination was arranged for Class 12 candidates in seven West Asian countries where the regular examinations could not be conducted as planned.
The affected countries are:
- Bahrain
- Iran
- Kuwait
- Oman
- Qatar
- Saudi Arabia
- United Arab Emirates (UAE)
CBSE had cancelled the affected Class 12 examinations in March 2026 and subsequently announced an assessment scheme for declaring results. The special examination provides an examination opportunity for eligible candidates whose results were declared under that assessment scheme in the specified subjects.
Candidates also had to comply with the prescribed examination-registration requirements. The special examination was not opened as a general re-examination opportunity for all CBSE Class 12 students.
The List of Candidates (LOC) and examination-form submission window ran from September 22 to September 26, 2026. That window has closed.
Students who are unsure about their eligibility should consult their school and the relevant CBSE notices rather than assuming that they can register now.
When Will CBSE Class 12 Special Exam Admit Cards Be Released?
Admit cards for the special examination are scheduled to be available from October 12, 2026.
Students should check with their school or follow the official CBSE instructions for obtaining the admit card. The method of access may depend on the candidate’s registration arrangements.
After receiving the admit card, verify the following details:
- Candidate’s name and other personal information.
- Subject name and subject code.
- Examination date and reporting instructions.
- Examination centre and address.
- Important examination-day instructions.
If your name, subject, or examination centre appears incorrect, contact your school or the relevant CBSE office promptly. Do not wait until the examination day to report a mistake.
Keep the admit card safe and follow the instructions concerning its presentation at the examination centre.

How Should Students Prepare for the Special Examination?
With the examinations beginning on October 23, eligible candidates have a limited amount of time to revise. A focused plan can help them use that time effectively.
Start with the official syllabus. Identify the chapters and topics included in your subject. Avoid spending valuable time on material that is not part of the applicable syllabus.
Revise important concepts. Review formulas, definitions, diagrams, key arguments, and other subject-specific material. Spend additional time on topics you find difficult.
Practise written answers. Solve relevant sample papers or previous examination questions, where available. Practise completing answers within the allotted time.
Prepare according to the examination duration. Most papers listed in the date sheet run for three hours, while Physical Activity Trainer and Artificial Intelligence have two-hour slots. Practise with the correct duration for your subject.
Organise examination documents. Keep your admit card and any other permitted documents ready. Confirm your centre’s location and travel arrangements in advance.
Follow official instructions. Check what stationery and permitted materials you may bring, and reach the centre according to the reporting time on your admit card.
